The Soul of Fait Maison
Executive Chef · Creative Director · Storyteller in flavour.
Her Words
“Food is at the heart of everything I do. It brings friends and family together — it also brings comfort to the soul.”
My cooking constantly evolves, bringing my own take and style to the food of my heritage.
— Om Waleed

Half Palestinian · Half German
Yvonne Osman — known to all as Om Waleed — is the passion, the precision and the panache behind Fait Maison. Her menu lives at the crossing of her paternal Palestinian and maternal German worlds, drawn from a childhood watched closely from her father's kitchen counter.
Her father's knowledge of Middle-Eastern cooking was remarkable. From a very young age she loved to watch and help him in the kitchen, learning to balance spice the way a musician balances chords. Her mother's cooking was extraordinary too — not only in taste, but in presentation. A feast for the eyes.
Decoration and ceremony shaped their home, and you can feel it everywhere at Fait Maison: in the chandeliers, the porcelain, the flowers at the door.

In Loving Memory
He was the heart of her kitchen long before there was a kitchen of her own — patient hands, generous spice, the quiet authority of a man who understood that to feed someone is to love them.
He passed away, and the loss was profound. He remains her deepest inspiration. Every plate that leaves Fait Maison carries something of him — the balance, the warmth, the insistence that nothing leaves the kitchen until it is right.
“Every dish I cook is a conversation with my father.”
A Life in Frames

Beyond the Kitchen
Om Waleed has worked tirelessly to bring about a new food revolution at Fait Maison — always experimenting, always plating with panache, always with her own distinctive take on traditional favourites.
Outside the kitchen, she is hugely active in encouraging, empowering and supporting other women in business. She carries a passion for fashion that she attributes to her elegant grandmother — utterly chic and immaculate in everything she did.
Her menu changes with the seasons and the mood — alongside the renowned house favourites: Hamsa, Kebda and Shakshouka.
